I remember when we were building our house everyone said “Oh it’s the hardest thing, you will fight over everything.” I don’t think we had one argument about building the house, it was something that was more fun than anything. Building a limousine through a Coach Builder is a lot of fun, especially if your building the kind of Limos we are building for our limousine customers.
I just got done putting together a quick email for Phil from LA Custom Coach asking him a few questions about a couple of the ideas we have. Thinking about doing your own custom Limo design is pretty wild, I figured why not share a couple of the things we are considering putting in our Limos for use in Tampa Bay and all Pinellas County areas.
I have seen plenty of Limousines that have Lamborghini doors (Lambo doors) but I have yet to see a Limo with Suicide doors and thats something we are seriously considering for our Stretch Ford F-650 Limo. I don’t see any real downside to this item and it’s certainly one of those items that fits the Insane Limos concept, not to mention no one else has it.
Another feature I am curious about is a Fog Machine in a Limo, it’s not a huge item or anything that has not been put into a Limousine before. It has however been a long time since I have seen a Limo with a fog machine in it, and besides I dont think I have ever seen one in Florida with it. We are also putting heavy thought into every little detail like the type of Leather on our Limousine seats, we are considering Ruffle Seating for our Limos it looks extremely comfortable and very plush looking as well for special events like Weddings and Proms.
One thing is certain when it comes to custom building the perfect limousine for your customers is that waiting for the finished product is very painful. I have zero patience and I can’t wait until Insane Limos is serving areas like Clearwater, Palm Harbor, Tarpon Springs, Largo, Tampa, St. Pete, East Lake and Osceola, Florida. A couple of days ago I wrote about the Custom Pink Hummer Limo that we ordered from LA Custom Coach, Inc. I went and checked out Dan from Mammoth Limo’s website and while I was clicking around I found pictures of his Award winning Hummer H2 Limousine. I was only able to grab an exterior picture to post here if I get some Interior pictures I will post them in a future Limousine update.
One thing I am confident about is that when our Pink H2 Limo arrives in December 2008 from La Custom Coach it will be a show stopper. You have to picture the limousine below in the exact Bright Pink Paint of the Pink Chrysler 300m I posted the other day. Just in time for New Years Eve parties and the Superbowl in Tampa on February 1, 2008 the hottest Limo in town will be the Hot Pink Hummer Limo we call “Princess”. Princess will be packed with the hottest items and feature a 5″ raised roof for additional walking and head room. The interior of our Pink Party Limo will be custom, hand made and designed by LA Custom Coach.

Today was the kick off to getting Insane Limos to go from just a name to a name with a couple of Stretch Limousines on order. We were initially dealing with a place I found online called Big-Limos.com but through numerous phone calls over a couple of months something did not seem right. We decided to check the BBB profile for this Limousine Coach builder, there were numerous unresolved complaints between that and the “service” we just felt it was a better idea to look somewhere else.
Lisa told me I should call a good friend of mine named Dan he owns Mammoth Limousine in Las Vegas a Limo company I have used for about seven years when I visit Vegas. It was a great idea and even though I hadn’t been to Vegas in the last few years I still had Dan’s direct number. I gave Dan a call and we talked about Coach Limousine Builders for a little bit and he made it very clear that the Limousine builder he swears by is Phil the owner of LA Custom Coach. Dan recently won back to back Show Limousine of The Year Awards with Custom Limos built by Phil from LA Custom Coach. I know exactly what Phil’s work looks like because I have been in his Limousines before, nothing but Insane Limousine designs which fits our name perfectly.
Dan was nice enough to give me Phils direct number, I called Phil right away to see if we would still have a chance at getting the Limousines for the Superbowl in Tampa. Phil was extremely thorough and went over pricing and the vehicles he recommends for the job. Phil also was nice enough to give me the phone number to the fleet dealers for the types of Limousines we wanted to have stretched.
After going through some final details with Phil I spoke to both of the fleet dealers he recommened that we call for the “chasis” for the Limos he will customize. After speaking with the two different automobile dealers within twenty four hours we had purchased two of the vehicles that LA Custom Coach will turn into Limousines for us. Phil is confident that we will have both Superbowl Limousines ready to go for the Superbowl in Tampa, which is great news because I really feel confident that Phil is going to build us two of the hottest Limos for the Superbowl not to mention we will also have them in time for the Prom. I have a few pictures I will post of some examples of what we will do with the Interior of the Limos.
